Peru is a top destination to trekers, sight-seers and birders. Its Amazonian forest has some of the best eco-lodges in South America and the ancient ruins around Cuzco, such as Machu Picchu are near the top of everyone's must-see world wonders. The high Andes birds are just as worth seeing. Now the northern part of Peru is also developing its birding tourism with the rapidly disappearing dry forest holding some top endemics.
