Description:
This year we add Laojunshan to our previous trip all kinds of habitats in Sichuan. After birding in Laojunshan, we return to Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province and then go all the way to the western Sichuan in search for birds at some important birding sites such as Balang Mountain, Wolong Nature Reserve, Mengbishan, Flower Lake, Baxi Village, Jiuzhaigou and Emeishan. We already have one confirmed client. This trip is certain to happen. This trip is open for booking now.

Description:
Our trip will start in Shanghai and end in Fuzhou with focus on the endemic birds in southeastern China, mainly covering four places, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Fujian. The trip is planned in a slow pace with visit to many different habitats to maximize our chance to see those star birds and also give you more time to enjoy the beauty of birds. This trip consists of several parts, first is around wetlands and mudflats in Shanghai and Rudong, the second parts is the forests in southern part of Wuyi Mountain and the third part is the Minjiang Estuary.

Description:
This birding trip covers two alpine provinces of China, Qinghai and Tibet. The average sea elevation is more than 3000 meters. Our focus will be local endemics on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau including various game birds, finches, sandgrouses and cranes. The trip starts in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province. We spend about nine days birding in different sites. Please note that in this trip the train and Lhasa section is an extension. In the extension trip, we take a train to Lhasa. Then we do birding around Lhasa including visiting the most popular attractions inside Lhasa.

Description:
This trip start from Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, going all the way to the southwest area bordering Myanmar in search of birds living in different habitats including visiting Gaoligong Mountains. In Dali, we will make a detour to Lijiang to see the Specled Laughingthrush and see some wintering birds such as the black-necked cranes in the wetlands close to Lijiang. Then we will drive on to the bording area between China and Myanmar to search for birds.

Giant Nuthatch, Speckled Laughingthrush, Lady Amherst’s Pheasant, Wedge-billed Wren Babbler, Slender-billed Scimitar Babbler, Collared Myna, Pied Falconet, Wreathed Hornbill, Rufous-tailed Babbler.

Description:
In this 17-day birding trip we start from Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province. The hightlights of the trip is that you can see many endemic birds in much lower elevation when they come to the lower mountain gorges for wintering. Also we will see two very special birds, Crested Ibis and Sichuan Partridge in their respective habitats.

In his trip, Jiawei and Philip He, the two founders of AlpineBirding are going to show you those rare endemics and the spectacular natural sceneries, authentic Tibetan culture. In this trip we will have a number of night birding for owls.
